    Following Up with Customers

    Most retail sales — especially big-ticket items like mattresses, furniture, and appliances — require at least one follow-up. RetailGenie makes following up as easy as tapping a button.

    Your Follow-Up Queue

    When you log in, you'll see your pending follow-ups right on the dashboard. These are customers who visited your store, got a quote, or expressed interest but haven't purchased yet. Each entry shows the customer name, what they were looking at, when the follow-up is due, and any notes from the last interaction.

    Texting a Customer

    Tap any follow-up to open the customer's profile. Hit the text icon to compose a message. The system suggests templates based on context — a 'checking in after your visit' template for recent shoppers, a 'your quote is expiring' template for older leads. Customize as needed and send. The conversation is logged automatically.

    Setting Reminders

    After any customer interaction, set a follow-up reminder. Choose the date and time, add a note about what to discuss, and the system will surface it on your dashboard when it's due. No sticky notes, no forgotten callbacks.

    The best follow-up is a quick, personal text within 24 hours of their visit. Something like 'Hey [name], it was great chatting about the [product] today. Let me know if any questions come up!' goes a long way.
